Mineral Insulated Strip Heater

The MI strip heater is a thin, responsive heater that uses the most advanced heater construction techniques. A nickel-chromium element wire is embedded into Magnesium Oxide material, which has a much higher thermal conductivity than the mica or ceramic insulators used. This thin layer of insulation brings the element wire closer to the heater sheath. The result is heat that flows easily from the element wire to the sheath,  allowing the wire to run cooler than conventional heaters and increasing heater life.

Mica Strip Heaters

These heaters are our most widely used band heater because of their versatile design, rugged construction characteristics and low cost. Mica Strips have sheath temperature capabilities up to 900°F (480°C).  Our proven heater design gives good life efficiency and dependability. We maintain the lowest winding temperatures possible, keeping a low-mass heating element assembly for fast heat-up and quick thermal response to controls.
