Tube & Wire Thermocouples

Thermocouple Designs for Light and Medium Duty Applications

General Purpose Thermocouple Probes, sometimes referred to as Tube and Wire Thermocouple Probes, are available in many standard and custom configurations.  These are economical thermocouple assemblies usually consist of soft insulated fiberglass or Teflon wire that is housed in a stainless steel tube.  Although this is a very simplistic thermocouple design, it is very versatile and durable if specified properly. Diameters of .093” to .500” are available in almost any length and can be formed with 45° and 90° bends.

Adjustable Spring Thermocouple

Adjustable Bayonet Spring

Adjustable spring style thermocouples bend to any angle to fit a wide range of hole depths, eliminating the need to stock numerous styles. Optional stainless steel over-braid can offer additional lead protection in demanding applications.
